Silicone moulds for food preparation – helpful if swallowing has become a problem

Patients with swallowing problems have a difficult enough time of it already. Their food has to be puréed or strained, and if the presentation also leaves a lot to be desired, they can lose their appetite even more; malnutrition is a serious risk. To combat this, cooks in hospitals and nursing homes aim to make the food look as appealing and authentic as possible, while also responding to the existing swallowing difficulties. That's where silicone moulds for puréed and strained food come into their own, helping to present the food in a way that looks as normal as possible.

High-quality silicone moulds for professional use

The silicone moulds in our range are based on common foods. They are made from silicone with a non-stick coating and can be used at temperatures between approx. -40°C and +230°C. This ensures they can be used to make both hot and cold dishes and are ideal for preparation and refrigerated storage. Matching lids protect the food against freezer burns and skin formation. The material is, of course, approved for use with food products and can be put in the dishwasher to be cleaned after use.
